Best day to post content on social networks
The publication of content is, without doubt, the basis of digital marketing in social networks. However, at the time of publication, most companies and individuals are questioning what is the best time to do so to generate the greatest amount of information.
In this sense, most marketing experts recommend that publication times be based on specific elements of each brand such as the target audience or type of platform. That is, there are no fixed rules, it will be the job of the Community Manager to know his audience to know at what times and what days it is best to publish.
But although each brand must receive a specific treatment for its digital strategy, it is true that there are certain time patterns that are repeated on most platforms and that determine when there is more interaction on the part of most users.
That is why Sprout Social, a software for the management of social networks, has published an analysis showing which are the best times of publication in the main social networks according to their experience. It should not be taken as a universal truth, but it can be worth taking into account.
This analysis aims to guide users and companies to improve the use of their networks and, although it does not have to correspond with the marketing strategy of each brand, it can be very useful for those companies or people who are trying to improve their presence digital.
As you can see in the following image, the interaction on Facebook is at its highest point on Wednesdays between 11 and 1 pm. Likewise, on Thursdays and Fridays they also see a lot of interaction, with the only exception that on Fridays the peak of clicks occurs earlier, at around 9 in the morning.
On the other hand, Sundays represent the moment of worse interaction on the part of the users, reason why the publications in this moment could turn out to be less effective.
Like its parent company, Facebook, Instagram also presents a very high interaction on Wednesday. However, in this platform, the largest presence of users occurs earlier, around 10 in the morning.
Likewise, Instagram also shows a lot of interaction on Fridays, around the same time, making Sunday the worst day to generate or seek interaction with our content.
Although the social network of the bird has already launched its own tool to identify when it is best to publish a video, Sprout Social has tried to make a general calculation on what is the best time to publish content regardless of its format.
In this sense, Twitter concentrates its greatest interaction in the morning, specifically starting at 9 am. The app repeats Facebook and Instagram patterns, receiving the most users on Wednesdays and Fridays.
The growth of users and interactions on the LinkedIn platform has significantly affected the way they interact with the content present there.
In this sense, the moment of greatest interaction on the platform also occurs on Wednesday, between 0 and 12 pm. However, the presence of users on Thursday and Friday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. generates a good margin of publication that seems infallible. On the other hand, Sundays are the day with the least interaction on the platform.
